Honda MSTI Collaboration To Offer Eco-Friendly Vehicle Scrapping Solution

Honda MSTI collaboration has finally taken place. The leading manufacturer of Indian premium cars, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has announced it has gone into an agreement with Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Private Limited (MSTI). The agreement will help it to offer its customers an end-to-end solid solution for scraping their ELVs or End of Life Vehicles. With the help of the solution, the customers of these brands can easily get their scrapping of vehicle done in a more scientific and eco-friendly manner.
HCIL aims to assist its customers to receive the best value for their ELVs through this tie-up. They will also be able to facilitate hassle-free deregistration as well as the issue of Certificate of Deposit / Destruction through its dealer partners.
MSTI is a government-approved scrapping and recycling company of ELVs. The company is setting up its contemporary ELV scrap and recycling centers pan India. The first solutions for the scrapping of vehicle that are old will be provided in Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. In the future, the coverage area will expand under the Honda MSTI collaboration. The duo in the joint venture will add new scrappage centers for the scrapping of vehicle (ELVs).
Mr. Takuya Tsumura, President & CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd stated on the new customer initiative regarding scrapping of vehicle (ELVs),

With this association, Honda Cars India intends to go beyond while serving and delighting our customers.”
Additionally, the managing Director of Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Private Limited (MSTI), Mr. Masaru Akaishi stated,
“Today we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Honda Cars India Limited. MSTI will continue to contribute to the improvement of India’s environment by providing environment friendly ELV dismantling services.”
As a part of the Honda MSTI collaboration, MSTI along with the HCIL dealership aims to offer their customers:
- Arrange quotes for the scrappage value of the vehicle
- Issue of Certificate of Deposit / Destruction from MSTI.
- Provide end-to-end services including vehicle pick-up, transportation, and dismantling at the MSTI scrap and recycling center
- Vehicle Evaluation
That said, the Certificate of Deposit/ Destruction will permit the customers to claim various eligible benefits. These benefits have been designed by the Vehicle Scrappage Policy notified by the Indian Government and adopted by several State Governments. In addition to this, the Honda MSTI collaboration will also offer the customers peace of mind as well as assurance that their ELVs will never be misused. Thus, there remains no hassle or legal liability later.
