Ajay Devgn To Make His OTT Debut With Rudra Web Series

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will soon mark his footprints on the OTT platform with his first crime thriller series Rudra web series. He has already declared his very first project on the digital platform and his fans are super excited. He took the special occasion of his daughter Nysa’s birthday to announce this venture.
After posting a heart touching message with a photo of his daughter Nysa on her birthday on Instagram he posted the first poster look of Rudra – The Edge Of Darkness on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
“Happy Birthday, dearest Nysa. Small joys like this are the only ‘break’ in stressful times like these. Also, a sincere prayer for all those who need healing (sic)”.
The OTT series is titled: Rudra – The Edge Of Darkness. Here he plays the part of a cop and the premier of the show will be on Disney+Hotstar VIP. This web series is based on a British series – Luther.
The filming of the movie will be in Mumbai this year and the release date is yet to be out. While speaking about the show Ajay called it “compelling” and “intriguing”. He also stated that he has played the role of a cop on screen many times, but this role is different from the rest. It is heard that along with Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz is playing the lead roles. This will be a series of 8 episodes of 41 – 60 minutes each.
While speaking about the show, Ajay quoted “My attempt has always been to tell unique stories and work with good talent. The idea is to raise the bar of entertainment in India. The digital world excites me, and I am looking forward to working with Applause and BBC to bring the series to life on Disney+Hotstar VIP. Rudra web series is a compelling and highly intriguing story and I can’t wait to begin this new journey! Playing a cop on screen is not new to me, but this time the character is more intense, complex, and dark. What drew me most to his persona is that he is possibly the greyest character you may come across in recent time.”
In the first poster, Ajay Devgn is seen dressed in a black round neck shirt, grey jacket, and blue pants. The intense look of the actor and the poster signifies that the series will be a crime thriller. Though the makers of this series have not any significant details yet.

The crime thriller is soon to start its filming and the shooting will take place across iconic parts of Mumbai.
