The Great Indian Murder

After the playboy son played by Jatin Goswami of a highly influential politician is murdered at the party he is organizing to celebrate his acquittal in a murder case, his enraged father played by Ashutosh Rana calls for a CBI enquiry that associates detectives Sudha Bharadwaj (Richa Chadha) and Suraj Yadav (Pratik Gandhi). They go deep into six primary suspects, who were either invited or not invited to the before stated party.
The Great Indian Murder is based on a novel Six Suspects that was published in 2016, written by the retired Indian Foreign Service officer Vikas Swarup, who is famous for the book that was created into the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire. Swarup based Vicky’s role on Manu Sharma, the murderer of Jessica Lal. All the episodes are directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ajay Devgn is among the producers.

Tahir Raj Bhasin (Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen) and Taapsee Pannu lead this Bollywood remake of Tom Tykwer’s 1998 German cult classic Run Lola Run that has Savi (Pannu) who requires Rs. 50 lakhs in 50 minutes to save her failure gambler boyfriend Satya (Tahir Raj Bhasin) from the hands of a mobster. The cash was his. After Savi could not do so, she discovers she is stuck in a time looop.
Looop Lapeta spots the directorial feature debut of Aakash Bhatia, who took Run Lola Run screenplay with Ketan Pedgaonkar, Dr. Vinay Chhawal, and Arnav Vepa Nanduri. Rajendra Chawla, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, K.C. Shankar, Raghav Raj Kakker, Sameer Kevin Roy, Manik Papneja, and Bhupesh Bandekar also star.
Rocket Boys

Centered on the respective fathers of space and nuclear programmes of India, Dr. Homi J. Bhabha (Jim Sarbh) and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (Ishwak Singh), this biopic drama narrates their professional and personal lives, and how they met on the use of atomic energy, primarily in the wake of the 1962 Sino-India War. The trailer of Rocket Boys hints at the inclusion of a young A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (Arjun Radhakrishnan), who was the President of India in the 2000s.
Saba Azad and Regina Cassandra play Bhabha and Sarabhai’s respective love interests, while Rajit Kapoor plays then Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Namit Das, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and K.C. Shankar also have roles. Rocket Boys has been formed by Nikkhil Advani (Batla House), and directed and written by debutant Abhay Pannu who before served as associate director on Mumbai Diaries 26/11.
Badhaai Do

Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkumar Rao lead this spiritual sequel to the National Award-winner Badhaai Ho where lesbian PT teacher Suman Singh (Pednekar) and gay cop Shardul Thakur (Rao) opt for a lavender marriage to m ake things smoother with their families who are pressuring them to get hitched. Naturally, it only creates more mayhem. Sheeba Chaddha, Loveleen Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Nitesh Pandey, Chum Darang, Shashi Bhushan, and Deepak Arora also star.
Gehraiyaan

Approximately six years on from his last feature film, Kapoor & Sons director and writer Shakun Batra returns with a romantic drama that lines up cousins Tia Khanna (Ananya Panday) and Alisha Khanna (Deepika Padukone), and their respective beaus, fiancé Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and husband Karan Arora (Dhairya Karwa).
Unhappy with the course her life has taken and Karan, and possibly jealous of the professional success of Tia, Alisha starts to hook up with Zain. Why is he doing it? The Gehraiyaan trailer does not hint at it hard enough, except to unveil that Zain bonds with Alisha over their troubled pasts.
Naseeruddin Shah plays father to Alisha, and Rajat Kapoor is father to Zain. Batra wrote Gehraiyaan with Ayesha DeVitre (Kapoor & Sons) and Sumit Roy (Zubaan), and composer Yash Sahai (Bogda). Karan Johar is among all the producers.
Gangubai Kathiawadi

The last in our list of upcoming February movies is Gangubai Kathiawadi. The latest movie from Sanjay Leela Bhansali is his first since 2013 to not be set before the 19th century. Though even this movie is set in the 1960s, it does still imply a different century. In it, Alia Bhatt plays the lead role of a young girl who rose from her humble Kathiawad origins — that is in Gujarat — to grow up to a brothel madame and mafia don in red-light district of Bombay, Kamathipura after she was sold into prostitution.
