IRCTC Special Tourist Train Takes You To Beautiful North-Eastern States

IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) will soon launch an IRCTC special tourist train that will allow travelers to explore 5 North-Eastern states of India under the Dekho Apna Desh initiative. The 14 nights 15 days train will take the passengers to places that are unexplored, untouched, and in areas that cannot be imagined. According to an official of IRCTC,
“Be ready to travel on Dekho Apna Desh AC Deluxe Tourist Train on a wonderful tour of northeast discovery beyond Guwahati.”
As per the information provided by the IRCTC official, the company has planned to function an IRCTC special tourist train for the first time in the North eastern states in India. This tour will commence from the Safdarjung railway station in Delhi and will travel while covering 5 prominent states that include Guwahati, Johnhart, and Kaziranga in Assam, Kohima in Nagaland, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, Agartala, Una Koti, and Udaipur in Tripura, Cherrapunji and Shillong in Meghalaya. Tourists can board the train from Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station, Tundla, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, and Varanasi railway station.
The train will leave from Safdarjung station on November 26, 2021. The design of the tour has been done keeping in mind the preference of all types of passengers. To offer complete fun with adventure, a track on the Root Bridge in Meghalaya and a Jungle Safari at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam will also be provided in the package.
The travelers who will be traveling by the train will also get an opportunity to visit the Kamakhya Temple that is situated in Guwahati, Assam, and also the Tripura Sundari Temple in Tripura as per the information offered by the IRCTC official.
According to him, for nature fanatics, a tour of the Assamese tea gardens and over the Brahmaputra River is also included in the tour plan. And for history lovers, they can satisfy their souls by visiting the Ujjayanta Palace, Neermahal palace, and UnaKoti Sculptures in Tripura.
Now coming to the pricing, the IRCTC tour package list starts at Rs 85,495 for every person for 2 AC and Rs 1,02,430 for every person for 1AC. PSU or Government employees can use the LTC facility on this tour according to the eligibility that is based on the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Finance.
Passengers will be offered with deluxe class facilities like a tour of tourist places by air-conditioned buses, delicious food, stays in deluxe hotels, a guide, and insurance among many others.
