Nifty 50 today is performing better than in recent days, which might be a breather for stock market enthusiasts who follow a bullish strategy. This Indian stock market index was experiencing extreme bearish and volatile trends recently. However, at least for today, the situation has improved substantially. Nifty 50 today saw 95% of stocks hiking in value, that is, 49 out of 50 stocks were in the ‘green’.
The Nifty 50 index was up by 1.65% and was trading at 17,295.90 (gaining 281.55 points) at the time of writing on Friday, October 14, 2022. The only stock that was declining when we looked at the market data prior to reporting was Britannia Industries Limited (NSE: BRITANNIA), the rest of the other stocks were gaining even if the gains were not massive enough. However, a few moments later, it even started seeing an increase in stock value.
Recently, the Nifty 50 had lost its bullish momentum as it even extended below the 17,000 mark after reaching a 52-week high of over 18,600 in the past month. This is why bulls were worried about their holdings. Therefore, the gains that this index has been seeing today were essential for these stock traders. Also, the fact that Nifty is expected to close this week in the ‘green’ cannot be forgotten as well. After an entire (almost) week of declines, finally, the index made a huge recovery as all 50 stocks were rallying.
On the other hand, BSE Sensex India was gaining too. The Sensex India index was up by 1.65% and traded at 58,181.42 (hiking by a huge 946.09 points). Both major Indian stock market indices were performing exceptionally well just after opening.
The top Indian stocks that saw the highest increase in value during today’s bullish Nifty 50 session are noted below.
Infosys Limited (NSE: INFY) saw its stock gain by 4.73% and trade at ₹1,487.10 (up by 67.20 points) at the time of writing in the trading session today. The total trade volume was 78,69,470, which was worth ₹1,16,404.41 lakhs.

We hope that bullish traders rejoice in the recent surge of the Nifty 50 Index. However, this does not mean that both the major Indian stock market indices Nifty 50 and Sensex India would continue gaining in the future as well. Currently, the market is rebounding but the situation might alter according to the timing and updates in the business world.
