Audi Q5 Review: Read To Make Your Buying Experience Easy

The updated Audi Q5 feels like it took a long time to come. The Q5 Audi price starts at ₹ 58.93 Lakh and goes up to ₹ 63.77 Lakh. In this article, we will be having a look at the Audi Q5 review. Read the article, to know more about Audi Q5 mileage, price, design, features, and many more.

Audi Q5 Review: Features, Exterior, And Interior

Let us begin this Audi Q5 review by looking at their features, exterior, and the interior. In the exterior of Audi Q5 2021, you will find the latest designs for the LED headlamps and also the tail lamps. Along with that, you will also get a flatter, wider, now octagonal grille with aggressive brushed metal vertical slats which is a metal strip between the tail lamps, a bit of silver trim under the doors, and also a new bumper. They have also increased the size of the wheels from 18 to 19 inches to keep up with the segment trend but the design is a bit plain. The design is a bit improved compared to the Audi Q3.

Now coming to the interior, the changes are even less with one shift that can be noticed if it changed the infotainment system from 8.3 inches to 10.1 inches. Here the bigger news is similar in the A4, S5, and RS5 that also received facelifts this year is the shift to the touchscreen interface and the new generation of MMI software of Audi. It is a neat UI that is far smoother compared to the one before.

It also stays a very realistic luxury SUV, with a roomy back seat and a large, 550-liter boot. Just desire they added some more USB ports for the rear passengers; all you receive is a 12v socket. The cabin now employs piano black in place of their conventional brown trim of wood, and the features list provides the notable added feature of a 19-speaker Olufsen and Bang sound system on the top Technology trim. It was always pretty well equipped though, and coming back this time are a panoramic sunroof,  wireless phone charging, Android Auto, park assist, and Apple Carplay, adaptive dampers, and also 8 airbags.

Audi Q5 Review: Engine And Gearbox

The Audi Q5 offers incredibly smooth and refined, the now-discontinued 3.0 and 2.0 TDI diesel engines were equivalent with Audi, and their lack is felt specifically in an SUV like the Q5. Luckily, the coming back 45 TFSI petrol engine is pretty magnificent too. The 2.0-liter unit offers 249 hp (3hp down after the move to BS6) and 370 Nm, both numbers that are par for the sector, and as before, it is all channeled through a Quattro AWD and seven-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox.

It is a refined and smooth experience, as before, with a proper amount of punch when you require to get a move on. It is not as exciting as some petrol engines of the rivals, but at least the gearbox is fast to kick down or reply to tugs at the paddles when you are in a hurry. And, unlike several other dual-clutch ’boxes, in normal auto mode, it does not feel too clunky when you are grinding around at low speeds.

The Verdict

Once the luxury market giant, Audi, the shrunken model range of India for the last 18 months and the loss of diesel have put it at a prominent disadvantage against its two primary rivals, Mercedes-Benz and BMW X3. The Audi Q5, however, envoys a reversion for the brand, one that will be supported by the coming back of the Audi Q7 later this year, and even more mainstream models in the upcoming years. The Audi Q9 price in India starts at ₹ 58.93 Lakh and goes up to ₹ 63.77 Lakh So after this Audi Q5 review, it can be concluded that this is a good model with very little change from its previous models.
