In Singapore, BYD is popular for making face masks and batteries. However, the Chinese automaker is among the largest EV (Electric Vehicle) manufacturers across the globe. BYD which implies “Build Your Dreams” was founded in 1995. This company offers forklifts and electric commercial vehicles. Today we will have a look at a similar model from BTD. Here is a BYD E6 review. Without any further delay, let us have a look at the BYD E6 specs.
BYD E6 Review: Styling
The heavy looking BYD E6 crossover has been followed by a more attractive and sleeker five seater MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle). This model is also relatively sizable, the E6 is bigger than a Renault Scenic. In fact, this car is even larger than the Citroen Grand C4 Spacetourer which is a seven seater car. The BYD E6 Singapore price is $115,888.
Along with that, the other improvements made by this latest BYD E6 are its clean lines and sleek headlights. Even the non-descript rear end is quite appealing compared to its predecessors. But one development that is unexpectedly missing, in this case, are the LED headlights. The LED headlights would have been a lot brighter compared to the halogen lamps that are present on the test unit. And above everything, LED lamps consume less energy too.
BYD E6 Review: Surroundings
The next parameter in our BYD E6 2021 review is its surroundings. Compared to the previous one, the interior of BYD E6 is a lot nicer. The built quality feels way better, and the cabin offers a lot more space. Excitingly, the latest model from BYD uses an analog instrument panel unlike its predecessor, which comprises a digital cluster.
But the most crucial thing here, in this case, is ergonomics. The latest panel of E6 is in front of the driver and is much cleaner compared to the previous E6 cluster which is present in the dashboard’s center and is very clumsy.
Other clean BYD E6 interiors include a clean center console, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and various storage points. This time BYD has clearly put some thought into the user convenience and experience as it seems.
One section that could have used an update, however, is the infotainment system that is based on Android. While it provides Bluetooth connectivity, it does not offer Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, which provide more seamless connections. That is the reason the user will still require to sync it to their phone’s Wi-Fi connection to use Google Maps.
BYD E6 Review: Flexibility And Space
With respect to space, the BYD E6 is pretty darn spacious. With a 2800mm wheelbase and a closely flat rear floor, this backseat of the MPV allows three adults to stretch out with convenience. There is also a pair of USB ports for charging phones while on the go. The E6 provides a very handy 580 liters of boot space. But the storage space is constrained and not flexible as the rear bench is fixed. So, unlike other MPVs, the user cannot fold the seat backs to store longer items.
The Bottom Line
The BYD E6 2021 price is present $115,888 with COE. So after this BYD E6 review, it can be concluded that the latest features and price makes this car quite appealing. Despite the BYD E6 problems like Apple CarPlay, LED headlights, and many more can be overlooked as this new BYD E6 model is way better compared to its predecessor.
