Despite a reduction in cost, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G which is 7 inches will not be compromising on features or hardware. It provides an “under display camera” along with other top notch features.
According to experts in the industry, the Samsung next-level smartphone will eventually try to upgrade its smartphone users. According to a Research Director of a market intelligence firm,
"Galaxy selected trade-in will make Fold even more attractive, especially on the Note series where users will move on to an entirely new form factor and experience."
The Samsung folding phone will remain in the single digits in 2021 at 9 million units which is estimated to be a three times growth compared to 2020 with Samsung dominating more than 88% of the market share.
According to the South Korean Giant, it sold 60 million units of handset in the second quarter which is a decrease from 81 million units in the quarter before. According to Prabhu Ram, Head, Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), at CyberMedia Research (CMR),
"It is great to see that Samsung perseveres and persists with new innovations around the foldable form factor, with each successive iteration. With its third-gen foldable, Samsung has been able to move the needle forward, even including, potentially mainstreaming the foldable."
According to Jene Park a Counterpoint Research Senior Analyst,
"Three key things must happen before we see any significant volumes: 1) Significant price declines with flagships at around $1,000-$1,500; 2) more vendor participants -- we're starting to see this now, and 3) Apple's entry into the space."
